ABOUT BALLAD CONSULTING GROUP: Ballad is a purpose-driven employment services and consulting company based in Alberta. Since 2012, we have delivered industry-responsive training and workforce development programs that support unemployed and underemployed individuals in building meaningful, long-term careers across sectors including supply chain, construction, insurance, agriculture, hospitality, and more.
Ballad’s consulting services support governments, rural and Indigenous communities, and private sector organizations across Canada. We specialize in community and economic development, housing solutions, and business advisory services, contributing to the creation of sustainable local economies and long-term prosperity.
Our Workforce Employment Readiness and Connections (WERC) program is a key part of our employment services work, helping Albertans build practical skills, confidence, certifications, and workplace experience to support their path to employment. WERC operates in communities across Alberta, and we’re excited to expand into Brooks as our seventh location.
A key part of WERC is our simulated worksite model, which gives participants the opportunity to learn and practice skills in an environment that reflects a real workplace. The opening of WERC Brooks brings this model to the community, with training designed around local workforce and employer needs in industries including construction, agriculture, and hospitality.
