Volunteerism Screening

Description

Participants will gain a foundational understanding of what volunteer screening and engagement is and leave with basic screening tools. This is a start of a learning series with Volunteer Alberta in partnership with City Of Medicine Hat- Community Support Services. 

Volunteerism Screening will cover a variety of topics related to what volunteering is, its relationship to safety and risk, and how engaging volunteers works for a nonprofit organization. If you’ve ever felt lost or stuck in your thinking about volunteering, this session will be a great chance to explore new strategies to conceptualize volunteering opportunities and try new ways to work with volunteers. This presentation will give attendees a refreshed understanding of the volunteering landscape in Alberta and tools they can use in their organizations to help volunteers succeed.
