Lunch & Learn: Understanding Alberta’s Resource Development Approval Process with Northback Holdings
Tuesday, June 16, 2026 (11:30 AM - 1:00 PM) (MDT)
Description
Northback Holdings would like to invite Chamber members to an information-only Lunch & Learn session regarding metallurgical coal development in Alberta.
This session is intended to provide Chamber members with insight into how major resource projects navigate Alberta’s regulatory and environmental approval processes, including permitting, environmental assessment, and stakeholder engagement.
The Chamber’s role is to provide a platform for member education and informed business dialogue given the active public discussion around resource development, water protection, and land use in Alberta,. This session is designed to support understanding of process, context, and governance rather than advocacy or endorsement of any project or position.
*This is an information session and not to be attended as a platform for advocacy, lobbying, or policy debate. Time will be reserved for clarifying questions related to process, governance, resource development and regulatory requirements in project development.
