The Southeast Alberta Chamber of Commerce along with Northback is pleased to extend an invitation to an exclusive site tour of Northback’s Grassy Mountain Project—an innovative steelmaking coal initiative located in the historic Crowsnest Pass region.

This guided visit offers a unique opportunity to:

• Explore a site with over a century of mining heritage
• Learn about Northback’s commitment to responsible development, environmental stewardship, and community engagement
• Gain insight into the project's potential economic impact for Alberta and beyond

📍 Location: Grassy Mountain Project Site, Crowsnest Pass

 📅 Date & Time: Friday, August 29th, 2025

We believe this tour will foster valuable dialogue around sustainable resource development and regional growth, and hope you’ll join us in experiencing firsthand the vision and innovation driving this project forward.

Transportation will be provided to and from the tour departing and arriving from the Chamber office, along with lunch served in Blairmore before departing on the tour. All neccessary PPE will be provided, please arrive with long pants and closed-toed shoes. 

This opportunity is provided as a complimentary opportunity to Chamber Members, thanks to the generous support from Northback. 

Depart Chamber Office -7:15 am 

Arrive at Northback Holdings Office - 12955 20 Ave, Blairmore, AB T0K 0E0 - 11:00 am

Mine Tour + Provided Lunch - 11:00 am - 2:30 pm

Depart back to Medicine Hat - 3:00 pm

Arrive at Chamber Office - 6:45 pm
