Prairie Rose Public Schools and Medicine Hat Public School District with help from CAREERS are bringing our Trades students to one place at one time next April 8th in the hopes that our students will be able to get jobs for the summer. These grade 10 students are part of a dual-credit course called Intro to Trades with the Medicine Hat College. They are on track to either get into RAP or a pre-employment program to be able to graduate high school with the first full year of a registered apprenticeship. We are looking for industries that might want some extra help throughout the summer that would be interested in hiring a student or if you are unsure if you are able to hire – we would appreciate help in interviewing students and giving them real life interview experience. There will be approximately 40 students at this event. We are going to need a lot of help from you! We know the demand is high for experienced trades professionals in our community. We have many eager students wanting to get into the skilled trades.
